Druimnacroish

Druimnacroish is a substantial stone building set in three acres of gardens, on the flanks of Glen Bellart in the north west of the Isle of Mull.  We are almost two miles south of Dervaig on the road to Salen and around ten miles altogether from Tobermory.

At once “off the beaten track” and within easy reach of all parts of the island (Iona should be a full day out). The glen is peaceful, and the views and sunsets are superb.  The rural setting provides a tranquil and restful atmosphere.

A settlement since at least the 16th century, the current building was restored for use as a hotel from the ruins of a large farmhouse and mill, and the six ensuite guest bedrooms have been given views across the glen, to the west. The conservatory also looks out over the gardens and glen and down to the sea at Dervaig.

In addition to the Guest House, one wing of the building is now let for self-catering holidays.

The current owners, Neil and Margriet, have been here since 1998 and live with their family in a further, separate wing of the building.

This side of the building used to have the mill wheel in centuries past.  While the water still flows, the wheel is long gone.
