Residents have exclusive use of two lounges and the conservatory. Guests are welcome to borrow from a wide selection of maps and books of local interest, as well as sample a wide range of general fiction and board games. Tea and coffee are complimentary, snacks, alcoholic and soft drinks are available from an Honesty Bar.
There is ample parking in the grounds. The premises are protected throughout by automatic fire detection and alarm systems.
There is no television in the Guest House, historically because there is no reception, but also to help you get away from it all and really enjoy the peace and quiet. There are clock/radios in the bedrooms.
Newspapers arrive on the island well after breakfast time (after lunch on Sunday). If you do need to keep in touch with the rest of the world, we provide a payphone in the lobby and an internet connected computer in the lounge. Wireless broadband is available throughout the buildings.
A laundry service is available : we will wash and tumble dry a single load and return it within 24 hours for a charge of £8.
Pets are welcome in some bedrooms but may not come through the public rooms. The premises are non-smoking throughout.
Mobile phone reception on the island is limited, the best coverage is with Vodaphone. A signal can sometimes be achieved within the building, or more reliably in the garden.
